Phoebis philea has a distribution ranging from Central Mexico to Florida, with the majority of the population residing in the southern half of the state. Known as the largest sulphur in Florida, the Orange-Barred Sulphur has a maximum wingspan of 3 inches. Females are identified by the black markings found along the edges of their wings. You will find the Orange-Barred Sulphur alongside the Cloudless Sulphur as they share the same host plants.
