Ascia monuste can be found in North America with Florida populations residing in southern Florida and the Keys. The average wingspan for the Great Southern White is 2-2.3 inches, with females appearing more darkened than their counterparts. Aside from being whiter than females, males can also be identified by the irregular black border found on the outer margins of both forewings. Host plants include Saltwort, Pepper-Grass, and Capers.
