🌟 Trip Highlights

The Miracle of Metamorphosis: Follow our expert guides as they lead your “explorers” through the butterfly life cycle in real-time. From witnessing a butterfly laying eggs to exploring our Research Laboratory, students get a front-row seat to the daily changes of larvae and pupae.
The Wonders of Flight: Step into our three massive “open-air” aviaries. Your group will be surrounded by tens of thousands of “rainforest flyers” in a breathtaking display of color and movement.
Exotic Encounters: The adventure continues at Macaw Landing and our tropical bird habitats, featuring a rainbow of species designed to delight and inspire curiosity.
Thrilling Discoveries: Test your bravery on the swinging Tinalandia Bridge, explore the Butterfly Museum, and get up close with fascinating critters in our Live Bug Zoo.

School and Camp Field Trip Rates

Bring your classroom or camp unit to life with a journey into the heart of nature.

General Requirements:

Reservations: Filled on a first-come, first-served basis and at least 2 weeks in advance. We recommend calling 954-977-4434 as soon as possible. (Spring dates fill up fast, so if you have 100 or more children, please make your reservations at the beginning of the school year.) We are happy to book up to one year in advance.
Capacity: We accommodate up to 30 people (children and adults) per tour. Tours depart every 15 minutes.
Payment: No deposit is required. Total payment is due in one lump sum on the day of your field trip.
Exclusions: Coupons, Annual Passes, and other special offers are not applicable toward tour group rates.
Tax: 7% Florida Sales Tax is not included in the rates below.

One-Hour Guided Tour Only

This is the exclusive option for School and Camp field trips.

Adults: $12.00
Children: $10.00
Incentive: 1 FREE Chaperone per 10 paid children.
Availability: Offered Monday – Friday only.
Entry Policy: Includes a one-hour guided tour only. There is no re-entry into Butterfly World once the tour has concluded.

Field Trip Amenities:

Lunch Facilities: Groups are welcome to use the Buckeye and Crescent Shelters and the Covered Playground located adjacent to our entrance before or after their scheduled tour.

Print, share or download our Booking and Procedures to distribute to teachers, chaperones, and everyone attending with your group.

Tradewinds Park - Playground — School and Camp Groups may use these areas before and after tours. Only Monday through Friday!

Homeschool and Scout:

Butterfly World: Homeschool & Scout Group, you have 3 options to choose from!

Reservations: Must be made at least 2 weeks in advance and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 954-977-4434 for availability.
Tour Availability: Tours are available on a limited basis, Monday through Friday during the day and on Saturday mornings only. No tours are given on Sundays.
Payment: Full payment is required on the day of the visit. Florida sales tax (7%) is not included. Coupons, discounts, and memberships are not applicable.
Souvenir Patches: Available for an additional charge. Please check availability when booking.
Minimum: 10 paying people (Option 1 & 2), 10 paying children (Option 3)

Option 1) All-Day Rate (No Tour):

Enjoy full access to the gardens at your own pace, any day of the week.

Adults: $20.00
Children: (Ages 3–11):$15.00

Option 2) All-Day Admission + Guided Tour

Enhance your visit with a 1-hour guided tour included with your admission.

Adults: $23.00
Children (Ages 3–11): $18.00
Tour Availability: Tours are available on a limited basis, Monday through Friday during the day and on Saturday mornings only. No tours are given on Sundays.
Reservations: Must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance and a first-come, first-served basis.

Special pricing for church groups, senior organizations, friends, and families of 10 or more.

Minimum Size: At least 10 paying guests are required to qualify for group rates.
Payment: Total must be paid in one lump sum.
Exclusions: Coupons, Annual Passes, and other special offers are not applicable toward group or tour rates.
